Signs of life

Wow, it's been a while. I guess time really does fly when you're having fun (or, more to the point of our story, up to your ears in work).

Phil decided he didn't want to be my assistant manager anymore (which is fine as I was thisclose to firing him) and stopped showing up for work. That meant I had to cover the shifts that normally would have been his as well as my own. That makes for a long 19 days and counting. Good for the paycheck, bad for the fatigue level. Oh well, that problem seems to be solved so there is an end in sight to that issue.

I got to meet Teri's girls on Hallowe'en for the first time. They were both a couple of cuties. From what Teri says, they seemed to like me so it looks promising for when we let them in on the relationship. I will be glad when that happens. I go to see Teri nearly every night and I'm always worried the girls are going to come out and find me there or (even worse) want into the bedroom when I am in there. I love the fact that she is mature enough to want to protect the girls but my selfish side wants the cards on the table so I can start enjoying time with the little ones as well. I'm such a sap.

Andrew came by the store yesterday to chat (and get a discount on CDs). It was good to see him. He is still of the mind that he wants to move out when he gets a job. He has a second interview with Staples tomorrow and if he gets it, his plan is to move in with his friends. I hope he continues to stay in school and doesn't get caught up in the work world. He's gonna be 18 in June so he'll make his own decisions but my job is to make sure he considers all angles.

Here's a picture of Teri and I together at her place

Here's the end of this entry.

Peace & love
